has many pleasing walks among reminders of the old, not always pleasant
times. |

has not only the Bahnhofstrasse. A few steps and you are in a different
world. |
| Rigi: |
There are plenty of options for people who don't want to go hiking. You
may just stroll around Kaltbad with the many Restaurants, relax in the
shade of a tree, or choose to go on by train to another place. There are
mountain railways from Vitznau (ship) and Arth-Goldau (SBB). A large cable
car runs from Weggis, a smaller one from Chraebel (ARB), and there are
some other smaller cable cars as well. Customer parking is available too. |
| Pilatus: |
Here too you don't have to be a Hiker to get to the top, and up there
are also easy walking paths. Cable cars run from Kriens (2 km south of
Luzern) and a mountain railroad (cogwheel) starts at Alpnachstad (connections
to ship and train). Both places have
parking space too. |
