Schwinget
An old custom, on the Schwinget there is not only this special kind of
wrestling. Stone throwing, Swiss folk music, alphorn sound,
"Fahnenschwingen" (throwing, catching and twisting the flag) are part
of the whole festivities as well. On a fake "Alpaufzug" (cattle are
driven up to the alps) you get some ideas of how it used to be. The lead cows
wear heavy bells and are made beautiful with flowers on their heads. For whole family's
going to their alp is still a special day.
